Request for "Roboto 1984" family #25

Oh, legacy systems. I'm going to double check we really need this, but it looks like we do, so I'm filing this issue to flag that its coming up on the roadmap as a possible delivery milestone....

Sadly some systems are stuck with the 'unholy quad-lets' families, introduced in the 80s with PostScript DeskTop Publishing, where families had only "RIBBI" styles: Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic.

Systems that want a minimal font filesize footprint keep this tradition alive, and the total filesize of those 4 for Roboto, when stripped of hints, is 1.2 MB.

But currently size of the 'min' variable font is 2.2MB.

Obviously this means that there is a 1MB increase in disk space requirements.

So, I'd like to propose the build script spit out a Roboto1984-VF.ttf, similar to the Roboto-min-VF.ttf, that limits the design space to that small cuboid of this cuboid design space.

(The 1984 name is a code name, I will update the issue with a final name, if I confirm we do need to proceed.)

Still no decision on if this is needed.
