Sounds good to me. Will you roll out these changes to Classic, and then to Flex? Or the other way around?
cc @m4rc1e
This work is starting in flex but is for Classic, and will move into Classic repo once the default is approved. Its Greek subset will overwrite classic’s Greek in the classic repo.
Work on the other masters will also begin in flex, but then move the wdth and wght extremes for Classic, to that repo, with the Greek glyph subset Replacing the existing Classic’s Greek in the Classic masters.
Isn't the glyph set in Classic much more extensive for all 3 LGC scripts, so isn't it better to do the work in Classic, then once that is done, move to Flex and as a first step copy and subset the glyphset?
The glyph set of the Classic is bigger indeed. In the same time isn't compatible with any of Google Sets: GF Greek Core:
extras:
and small caps only for the GF Greek Core.
Because of these irregularities in the set of Classic, my preference is to start the work of the GF Greek Core set on Flex, transfer the work in Classic and have first of all an approved quality Greek. In a later stage we can update the Polytonic set to cover the GF Greek Plus and the small caps.
Got it. Thanks for explaining, that sounds good to me.
All 5 masters of 14pt are done for the Greek:

double anchor fixWhat’s the status of this work? AFAICT, it never reached Roboto Flex or Classic for that matter.
I’ve started with the Roboto update, looking at the Greek of the Classic set and taking in mind the modifications in the Latin design of Roboto Flex.
My suggestion for the structural changes aren’t many and I think were essential for a more harmonious result between Latin and Greek. This new set of Greek is suitable to work well across the across Flex and Classic without any structural changes.
