@chrissam42 Out on a limb and thinking out loud for discussion re: proofing on the screen. I noticed that both videoproof.typenetwork.com and typetools.typenetwork.com has the capacity to highlight a glyph, but currently with no apparent function.
Wondering if it would be possible, or helpful, to have a window similar to the CSS window in typetools.com at the bottom of videoproof.com?
It could appear as a checkbox as under the 'Show' menu and could auto record some information from the glyph selected, its location, along with the ability to manually add a description of the proposed fix.
Possibly using comma-separated text, and using option key if necessary.
The contents of the window could be exported to a sheet and then deleted or recorded.
Here is an example of auto entry of glyph; keyframe; date; and a manual entry of the proposed fix
Z, opsz 8 wdth 75 wght 890, 190805, heavy diagonal
Jill has pointed out the difficulty of moving bug reports for the proofing to sheets.
I agree that getting bug reports from proofs to somewhere else is not as easy as it could be.
I need you to see this exposes that there is zero difference between the sheet of a font that hasn’t been reviewed and marked, and a font’s sheet that has been reviewed and marked.
The spreadsheet is an attempt to remedy that because, by implication, something that has not been marked is good, to whatever point the review is done.
