Daydream view controller #21

Google discontinued the Daydream View, since October 15, 2019. Here I request to open source the Daydream Remote Controller that would benefit the future development of creative VR content for the Cardboard. Even if open source isn't possible, please at least make the controller functional in Cardboard, for example, allowing the controller to register a click action. One of the difficulties to use Daydream View headset as a Cardboard headset is that it lacks a click button.

Thank you for requesting this. The Cardboard open source project is intended to support Cardboard viewers. There are currently no plans to support Daydream View controller. However, adding support for the controller may be considered in a future update.

This would be great.

Well if google doesn't consider profiting off the daydream, they might even opensource it, just wonder what happened to the Wordlsense technology that was powering slam in Lenovo mirage solo, or even the experimental 6dof controllers. Hope they dont want to throw it all into the thrash like Tango.

I assume that many part of the WorldSense code are also in the ARCore app, so I wouldn't have high hopes for that happening. Still, one can dream.

I want to request this feature : support common 3dof/6dof controller.
