Richer Student News Content #1411

First thing that has come up is ability to click links in news descriptions. As news content becomes more complex (with images and other "rich" content), it possibly should be redesigned. This might perhaps look like each news item opening a window rather than expanding a dropdown.

What are the odds we could join the new daily student news email to a tile on the dashboard? And rethink what to do with the Student News posting board - maybe turn into a FreeCycle or RideShare posting boards?

@ChrisImagineer odds are high that this is doable as far as a view to the data goes.

I do want to point out that the daily student digest email fulfills a completely different purpose than student news, and I would think rightfully so. Student news is for individual students to post information that can be seen by the entire campus, but is not necessarily endorsed by Gordon. It is for notes such as lost items and ride-sharing. The daily announcements email is particularly for on-campus departments and clubs/activities to make announcements to all students. I don't believe this system should be replacing student news.
