Hint: Using output window #6

I'm using the shipped Diff package, more precisely the diff_changes command, to preview my unsaved changes (via hotkey). It's in Packages\Diff\diff.py (line 40) if you are interested.

The main difference is that it uses an output window which does not require to switch the view (and switch back if you need to edit it).

If I understood your message correct, you want to see a diff in the panel at the bottom and not in the another view. Am I right?

If so, I don't really see a big need for that. Besides, the default Diff package already has that feature :)

I made diff preview in a new window because the panel sometimes is too small for that and you can't highlight diff there.

No, I don't really. I did not use your plugin at all, it was just a "hint". You could make it an option or provide both, though.

OK. Than I'm going to close this issue, because I don't really need this feature yet.

I will certainly make that option if more people request this.
