The cylinder I put in the cad is there just in order to calculate the geometries of closed/ open position. Different brands of cylinder are not important. Not even different types. The one in the drawing is a tie-rod cylinder, but a welded cylinder could be used as well. As such the above is 2" dia meter cylinder, but I propose that a 2.5" diameter cylinder should be used.

To make things easier about the cylinder. Its specs are: Cylinder retracted length from center to center of pins: 16.25" Cylinder extended: 22.25"

They are common 2"(bore dia) x 6"(stroke length) dimension cylinders, like these
