Open Impact Hub Delft #17

Reconsider the possibility of applying to open an impact hub in Delft focused on open source (See reference related to opening an Impact hub)

Why an impact hub in Delft?

Imagine having a dream team hall dedicated to create impact with technology. Imagine a dream team hall working on different machines that are important and relevant today, like walk behind tractors, or bigger tractors, CNC machines with different applications from routers, milling machines, to laser cutting plasma tables. This can accelerate sustainable development, and redistributed production, to lower dramatically the footprint of today's economies.

We are going already virtual with this impact vision

Today we have already designs, by important contributors, that collaborate in projects that make impact in their specific location. Students and developers are joining to learn best open source practices, in an integrated and collaborative manner. Students can learn, and become contributors, data about how we work, and the documentation of the development is also available. People can clone the designs and start studying the technology. Impact is created when more and more contributors, create a set of commons (intangible) resources that all can use to improve the specific context.

An impact hub dedicated to open source?

Why not having a place where Academia, Industry, the Public and Private sector, as well as other entities can join to use open source as a main accelerator. It is a win win for most people around the world, it is fun, efficient, viable and relevant.
