tmux and minicom #633

I'm having an issue when using tmux and minicom. Minicom uses the Ctrl-a to as a command key and I've tried reassigning it but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Minicom goes to a menu and acts like it wants me to set it, but I just get stuck in that menu. No keys I enter seem to be accepted and I have to kill the process from another terminal.

I'm guessing there are two solutions here: 1) change the cmd key for minicom 2) be able to sent Ctrl-a to minicom without activating tmux

Does anyone else run into this issue and have a solution?

I've figured this out, as I was not hitting ctrl-a ctrl-a quick enough together.
