10 months ago Right so <prefix> + p only pastes from tmux's own buffer.
The tmux_conf_copy_to_os_clipboard=true setting only achieves the following: when using <prefix> + y it copies to both tmux's own buffer and the OS clipboard.
But most terminal emulators have their own short cut to paste from the OS clipboard, e.g. CTRL + v so my reasoning is that there's really no reason to add a binding to ask xclip or xsel to paste from the OS clipboard.

10 months ago Oh!, okay thank you. I was thinking something was wrong because I thought that <prefix> + p should have capability to paste from OS clipboard and tmux's own buffer, since <prefix> + y could copy to both.
I really appreciate the information I would close the issue now :bowing_man: .
I am using ubuntu 20.04 LTS with xclip and xsel installed but paste from system clipboard doesn't work. I have also enabled tmux_conf_copy_to_os_clipboard=true and that the only change I made to the configuration.
