MailMessageContentRenderer not being initialized properly #40

I'm experiencing an issue with the plugin where I attempt to pass a template when sending an email. The issue appears to be a NullPointerException. I've debugged the code and the code is being thrown at line 89 of the MailMessageContentRenderer.createTemplate() method. The issue appears that the groovyPagesTemplateEngine is not initialized and is actually NULL. This causes the NPE to be thrown.

This happened after upgrading from grails 3.2.7 to 3.3.2.

I've not seen any other folks reporting this but I can say that the plugin does not work for grails 3.3.2 when using an html template.

Here's a snippet of code. 

        mailService.sendMail {
            to user.email
            from fromEmail
            subject messageSubject
            html view: "mail/forgotPassword", model: [messageBody: messageBody]
        }

It looks like this issue is isolated to a rest api profile and not the web profile.

I'm encountering the same, even after adding compile 'org.grails:grails-plugin-gsp'
