Feature request: block selection mode #65

Please allow the user to perform column-based ("block") text selection. That is, selecting text over multiple lines where the highlight begins and ends with the same column numbers for each line. This is especially useful when editing data embedded in source or config files. Maybe the user could hold down Alt or Ctrl (in addition to shift) to invoke block mode. Thanks for considering this request. Also, a big thank you for building and sharing this great text editor!

Although an interesting and useful feature, I will not have time to implement this. I'd be happy to accept contributions though.
