Problem with capture-preview file from canon EOS 350D #252

I'm currently using a Canon EOS 350D with Gphoto2 quite successfully to capture images.

However I am having problems using capture-preview. This does take a picture and downloads a file with a jpg suffix but I am not able to open that file in any image viewer. I get either vauge "corrupt" messages or, using imagemagick I get "jpgeg datastream contains no image"

Am I missing something? Is the file that comes back from capture-preview not an image file?

Hi, on which platform that you use the Canon EOS 350D with Gphoto2? I have tried to use RPi3b with Gphoto2 but without any success. No USB camera found. What I am missing? Sorry to ask the question here.

@universe241981 check if "lsusb" shows you camea when plugged in, and if you built gphoto2 with usb support (gphoto2 --version).

@Vivjheydon-mus ... have to test, the liveview on these old EOS models is tricky
