When I plug in the camera on the screen it comes up with '-52 cannot find the requested device' '-1 unspecified error' 'Couldn't find matching udev device' I have no clue what this means and I am unable to capture images, and the version no matter how many times I try to update it the gphoto2 wouldn't go past update 2.5.23 and libgphoto2 would not go past 2.5.22 and libgphoto2_port wouldn't go past update 0.12.0

Canon SX620 HS gphoto2 in --auto-detect shows as: USB PIP Class Camera usb: 001,093

Version: gphoto2 2.5.23 gcc, popt(m), exif, no cdk, no aa, jpeg, no readl ine libgphoto2 2.5.22 all camlibs, gcc, ltdl, EXIF libgphoto2_port 0.12.0 iolibs: disk ptpip serial usb1 usbdiskdirect usbs csi, gcc, ltdl, USB, serial without locking

Don't know if you need the --debug but here it is: --debug.txt

is "lsusb" showing the device when plugged in? is gphoto2 --auto-detect showing it?

is "dmesg" showing USB errors when you plug it in?

Hey sorry for the late reply but here is what I got: For lsusb and gphoto2 --auto-detect this is what I got: image And for the dmesg I got this: dmesg.txt
