suggestion: make preset tuning steps (via mouse) & rounding. #944

I'm using Mac, and there's only one thing that really frustrates me about GQRX, Inability able to tune in logical steps with rounding. like you can in SDRsharp, and hardware radios.

it's impractical in GQRX - to have to tune across a channelised band in FM or AM mode by mouse wheel in 100hz steps, or 1khz steps, with no 12.5 khz steps for Europe, 5kc for N. America or 8.33 khz steps VHF Airband

Yes, i can tune in 10 khz steps by clicking or scrolling on the appropriate frequency display number, but tuning VHF or UHF bands in 10khz is also wrong in Europe, tuning across any chanellised band is beyond tedious as GQRX will only seem to tune in tiny freeform steps, perhaps 100hz or something impractical on AM/FM

If i want to tune 145.7125.000 to 145.725.000 then i need to change 5 digits to move one single FM channel up, where logically, and far less frustratingly, the next click of the wheel should instead jump the channel (step) instead.

I hope i have explained clearly :) Thanks or the amazing software

It would be a good thing that the author of the "Bandplan" extension would extend this somewhat. The increment is set independently of the band only on the basis of demodulation.

On the other hand - I often observe in the airband here in Europe that the planes and the ground station communicate with each other at different frequencies - no one seems to stick to the steps so strictly. In order to be able to hear both at the same time, one probably has to set the bandwidth much further - which is probably done. (;-)
