Remove `settings.gradle` instructions #529

The Gradle plugin portal mirrors Maven Central, so it's no longer required to add mavenCentral in the settings.gradle file.

Note, however, that it can take some time to sync after each new release.

Interesting, since when is this the case? I guess it's not tied to some Gradle release?
