much like dashboards there are plenty of grafanistas with enough power to add new datasources to the play instance. We now have a large number of broken, stale, or duplicate datasources. We should find a way to clean up what we have, lock down most users from adding new ones, and ideally get the ones we want under some sort of configuration management / as-code type situation
