Right now this at least to some degree a manual process.

I've been using release-please for my latest (internal) releases, works great !

@davidovich Interesting, thanks 🙂 Did I see that correctly that this would require exclusively using conventional commit messages and a changelog? Personally, I think we shouldn't have to manage a dedicated changelog due to https://github.com/grafana/tanka/pull/803 .
