After chrome has been running for more than about 15 minutes, Hover Zoom will 
often shoot to >10% CPU usage, from about .2% (checked by cross-referencing 
process id #s between chrome's task manager and windows' resource monitor) On 
an i7 2720QM, that is a lot of power! 

Hover Zoom version: 3.8
Google Chrome version: 19.0.1051.0 canary
Operating system: Windows 7 home premium

Note: does not appear to happen on chrome portable 15, running on a windows xp 
system.

I do too. I have a quad-core processor, and all of a sudden my fan spins up 
like a jet engine. I open the task manager and a chrome process (hover zoom) is 
using an entire core. Even closing the browser doesn't kill it; I have to use 
the task manager. It's getting to where this happens about half a dozen times 
daily. It's disappointing, because this is by far my favorite browser extension 
of all time. Please fix this issue soon.

Using a first-gen quad-core i7 processor, with Chrome 19 release build on 
Windows 7 Professional

Also, I'm not sure but I think it might happen more frequently when on 
Facebook. Facebook has always been screwy...

Oddly, my problem is gone now, and has been for a while... I think Hover Zoom 
just doesn't like Chrome 19 (my chrome 20 and 21 builds work, just not the 19 
one). Good opportunity to switch to the beta or canary channels, guys!

Same problem here, it uses a full processor core during zooming. It's been 
almost a year since this was first reported, why hasn't this been fixed?

Chrome 28.0.1480.0 with Hover Zoom 4.16 seems to be working for me. Win7 
Professional.

What version are you using, Dennis?
