Click the background to close Takeoff

What about the situaton when you, by mistake, click background instead of icon?

There could be an invisible border of a *few* pixels around each icon that, 
when clicked, would open the application that it surrounds. This way the user 
doesn't have to click the icon exactly, but the border will be very small so 
that if the users clicks too far away from the icon it can still be interpreted 
as "the user wants to close Takeoff now."

Just an idea.

Also, a very self-explanatory way to close it is to press "ESC", it will be 
very useful too.
