Feature: attach videos to brews #137

For espresso, it’s useful to capture a slow-motion video of the extraction to learn from its appearance as it brews. Please add the ability to capture/attach a video to a brew. Thanks!

Hello @papaGregor thanks for your feature request. How would you like to see the usecase? You cant record a video and track your shot rightly with timer etc.

papaGregor commented 4 years ago

Hi - yes, that’s true, one wouldn’t be able to time the shot with the app and record the video at the same time. If recording the video, I would just use a different timer, either on the scale I’m using, a stopwatch, my watch, etc. The video is useful because I could review it for signs of channeling, grind size, tiger-striping, etc in the brewing process, so as to get better at each aspect of the process.

In theory I could then enter those times into the app manually (but if I recall correctly the app might have to be altered to allow this).

What do you think?

I'll need to have a look, actually it doesn't seems like the plugin doesn't support slow motion. But maybe I'll support just to attach videos (like photos)

The problem will be the big data. Actually the photos can be exported, big videos will be hard to export/import to be honest.

The possibility of attaching photos to a brew would be nice.

Hello @ElQDuck - thats already possible. You need to activate the parameter -> Brew Parameters -> Manage Parameters -> Scroll down and activate images
