Dead Project? #1324

Closed robd003 closed 2 years ago

It looks like there hasn't been a release in over a year and a half. Is there an active maintainer anymore?

@robd003 It's dead.

We talked many times about making one last release and announcing the project's EOL, but I wasn't able to do it. There are so many small things here and there that should be fixed and "the final release" turned out to be a pretty big responsibility. It may come in a week or a month, or may never happen, but even in best case I don't think there will be a second one. So yes, it's basically dead.

Do you advise any alternative ?

tcleonard commented 2 years ago

I am trying to find some time to actively maintain this project and also onboard more people (for example people from my team in my current job as Graphene + Graphene Django is core to our stack). As every open source project it's hard to have a constant flow of releases considering it depends a lot on how much personal time people have and are able to dedicate. I want to do on the sooner side a review of the "still open" issues/PR to see what is relevant, needs to be prioritized or can be closed... because right now it is a bit overwhelming to have all those open things. If you feel like helping out that would be great... :)

Sad. This was a great project. Strawberry looks like it's the leading alternative. If anybody has any recommendations please post.

@Djailla, I would suggest Strawberry GraphQL which also supports Django officially.
The project appears to be healthy and thriving.

is it very sad, but strawberry is actually active, check https://github.com/blb-ventures/strawberry-django-plus
