Regular grenades often bounce when they hit hard generators. As I recall, I actually experienced a grenade bouncing against the generator, and my 'Easy'-mode player, until it became stationary!

My observation of the classical grenade is that they explode on contact with hard generators.

Hmm, this one I can't seem to reproduce. In my test setups, a grenade explodes against and dissolves an easy generator, and explodes (to no effect) against a hard generator. If you happen to catch this one on recording that would be helpful.
