We've been making progress on the worst bugs remaining on the Pivot. There's still a bunch left.
We said in the Gratipay 2.0 announcement that we're going to flush the lines on August 19: clear all of the 1.0 money out of the system and close the door on migrating 1.0 tips to 2.0 subscriptions. We bumped to August 20 to sync with a payday. Tomorrow is T-30 days from August 20, and we should make a post and blast it on email so people can start migrating.
Let's draft the post and let that set our priorities for today and the rest of the week.
Aiming at getting more support tickets cleared up if I learn how to clear people for payouts. Am I right in understanding that closing your account does not trigger an automatic payout of your balance?
Also interested in learning how to do PRs to fix some of the links/text on the website that is out of date.
Draft: "Flushing the Lines."
Am I right in understanding that closing your account does not trigger an automatic payout of your balance?
Correct. In fact, you can't (or at least shouldn't be able to!) go through the "Close Account" workflow until your balance is zero.
[H]ow to clear people for payouts.
There's a "Clear for payout" button on the Settings page, which you should be able to see and use now that you have admin bit:
Zat work?
I built this wall with another guy last week. Move slow and make things! :-)
@whit537 Perfect, thanks! Just didn't know where the button was. Also confirming API keys before clearing.

Open(ish) Amazon(ish)!
That’s because Lore — whose Hoboken-based startup, Jet.com, on Monday launches its plucky challenge to Bezos’s Amazon.com — is going to be a fanatic when it comes to corporate disclosure.

@mattbk As you clear people for payout please check whether they seem to be providing a legitimate product or service (such as an open source project). If you notice any that are questionable, please flag me down for further review. Thanks! :-)
@whit537 sure thing.
Is there a team application queue this week? If someone is denied, are they notified and the reasoning explained?
The team review queue is in its own repo:
https://github.com/gratipay/review/issues
Currently we have to make tickets manually in there, though we have a PR going to automate that: https://github.com/gratipay/gratipay.com/pull/3568. We do generally try to notify people when we reject them, but I think I missed one.
Just added the missing teams for review to the team review queue.
Freshdesk 5. Team Review 9.
Nice!

Ooooh!
Security 8
I have to run an errand, and then I have a lunch meeting with an accountant friend (https://github.com/gratipay/inside.gratipay.com/issues/285#issuecomment-124132577).
Long lunch meeting. I have ~1 hr. Time for payday!
All from me for the week, more or less.
