Align very large figure environments to the top of the text #18

John didn't raise this, but if there are many notes under a figure I reckon it would look better aligned with the first line of text (e.g. Figure 6 on page 17 of super report)

Agreed. Not sure whether this is something that LaTeX can really do. (i.e. it can only gradually push it up the page). Let me have a think.

It will also be relevant for large tables (whole page). If it's possible to apply a rule, I would suggest moving the float to the top if the white space at the bottom exceeds the white space at the top
