I want to know if this can support fan control based on sensor reading for example gradually increase cooling fans for the drivers

It can provided that it is updated. It would require an analog input an and analog output provided by the ioports interface. There has not been any demand for analog I/O so there is very limited support amongst the drivers - it is likely that board specific code is needed?.
