TMC2209 Can not update microsteps setting #6

I am trying to change the number of microsteps with setting $15x, the command is accepted but when reading out the setting the value has not changed. And is there some documentation on setting $17x, $20x, $21x, $22x?

Got the error because not all TMC2209 where equipped.
