Latest update causes Chrome to use 100% of my CPU 24/7 #1172

Extension version: 7.1.6
Browser name & version: Version 83.0.4103.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Operating system & version: Linux Mint 19.1 MATE

One of my CPU cores is now permanently pegged at 100% whenever this extension is running. The only way to fix it is to close Chrome completely.

Operating system & version: Windows 10 (64 bit) version 2004

100% CPU usage after recent upgrade. Restarting windows/browser/extension did not help.

Profile with 4 windows and 60 tabs: normal.
Profile with 6 windows and 360 tabs: 100% CPU.
Profile with a lot of windows and a lot of tabs: 100% CPU.

I bypassed the issue by enabling "Apply Chrome's built-in memory-saving when suspending". It took around 5-10 minutes to complete the process. CPU usage is now 0%, as it should be.
