problem with appsetting widget #36

hi there and thanks for sharing your codes. i cannot get the AppSetting widget to work in my app (which runs locally). i want to use it in a url and the widget populates it but opening that url has no effect on visibility of layers or map extents and ... i even tried to run your demo version locally but i have the same problem.
