Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. One piece of clean-up that needs to happen is that all of the abbreviations need to be checked for consistency throughout the manuscript.

Describe the solution you'd like My plan is to use ctrl-f and/or regex, as well as spend a final read-through manually confirming these are ok.

Describe alternatives you've considered We can keep trying to fix them as things merge in, but with the text still changing, I'm not sure how reliable this strategy is.

@rando2 RT-PCR / qRT-PCR nomenclature also needs checking. Ex: "Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) " in 4.1.1 RT-PCR is a common mistake, as RT usually refers to retro transcription.

Maybe avoiding "real time", and always using "quantitative" is the most unambiguous way

Thank you so much @lubianat! I will make sure these are fixed!
