Error Diffusion #72

The Original DDS Photoshop plugin has the option define an error diffusion
width when setting the compression quality. This feature is extremely
useful when saving very large normal maps as it will reduce compression
artifacts.

In fact the Artists in my game company won't allow any compressed DDS
texture which hasn't been saved with error diffusion and sharpened mipmaps.

Can you provide an example normal map (before and after compression) that shows 
the 
results you would like to achieve?

On the uploaded normal map you should be able to see the blocking artifacts 
quite
well. The gradient image is an additional reference since it will illustrate the
effect in much the same way.
