Background color not displayed #224

I tried different themes, but i can't get i3status-rust to display background color. (arrows are collored but not the background) status

Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS i3status-rs 0.9

Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "background color"?

as you can see in the attatched screenshot, there is a yellow arrow, however the background (right next to the yellow arrow) is not yellow.

Where did you set the background colour? In your i3status-rs config? In your i3 config?
