Hmm, the issue is a problem with Pandoc: the book title is defined as a variable (in the meta.txt file):

---
title: 'Manifestos for the Internet Age'
lang: en
---

This unfortunately produces an orphan in the PDF:

Trying to follow those instructions: http://pandoc.org/README.html#extension-pandoc_title_block

But writing like this:

---
title: |
  Manifestos for the 
  Internet Age
lang: en
---

The result is still the same as above ... Pandoc help needed!

Found a method that works: just add a lot of spaces after the "the"...
