Get BOINC running on the PS4 #115

I've seen that some individuals have managed to get Linux running on a hacked PS4 and that they have been able to run Steam and applications.

What i'm very interested in finding out is if it's possible to run BOINC on a PS4 and successfully complete work units for any existing BOINC project?

If it's possible to run BOINC on a PS4 then we could create a PS4 supercomputer, or potentially run existing BOINC projects similar to running folding@home on the PS3 when it had linux capabilities.

If BOINC works within Linux on homebrew enabled PS4s, then this could be a great marketing opportunity for Gridcoin and BOINC as well as bring a large amount of computing power to BOINC.

There needs to be an updated homebrew entry point though, otherwise you either need to be in closed circles or have an older PS4 to run Linux.

Looks like firmware 4.5x has a working exploit, now we're just waiting for a kernel exploit to be ported then the whole thing to be made public & the PS4 supercomputer is a go!
