Worth mention as this question before: Project can go offline for a short time for backup just like some other project also does like WCG. From boinc discord

Jesús Carro — 07/25/2023 11:20 AM Hi! It happens all the days a few minutes at 0:00 Spanish time. The IT department stops our DB to make a backup. We should find a way to indicate it better.

Project have been whitelisted before but removed as it got paused. It's been alive since 7 Jul 2022 and hold up well with only small shortages and optimazations. Project hand out work in batches not automated generation at a fixed rate. But history show that they manage to hand out before work are low.

Project status is WAS ratio is 1.1570… (pass) ZCD is 1 (pass)

Compute power is around 37 TFLOPS

There's a small nuisance - all USJ websites block connections originating from Russia

Not only in Russia. I can’t open https://denis.usj.es using A1 provider Sofia, Bulgaria

CyberTailor commented 6 months ago

We are not blocking any IP but I have asked to the IT department and they indicate that, for sequrity reasons, the IPs of the following countries are blocked to access to the University: Antigua and Barbuda, Albania, Bangladesh, Brazil, Belize, China, Georgia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Iraq, Kenya, North Korea, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Lithuania, Myanmar, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Serbia, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.

Per #227,

Project Requirements for Whitelist Consideration

...

  • All crunchers that comply with the terms of service of both BOINC and the project have equal access to work units

If 29 countries are blocked from accessing the project directly, doesn't this invalidate the poll?

CyberTailor commented 5 months ago

I think no, as "not connecting from one of banned countries" can be considered an implicit part of project's terms of service
