reason:

todo:

example:

in IRC we brainstomred a little:

(A) This will be selected. reason: AUR requires <80 chars (B) The ()-part gives more credibility, e.g. readers who don't know BOINC may be "impressed" with IBM, unis, ...

This is the current wording agreed a while back and used for the deb and rpm builds. (marix and caraka):

Gridcoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency that uses distributed computing (BOINC) to benefit humanity by advancing the progress of medicine, biology, climatology, mathematics, astrophysics, and more.

The aim of the Gridcoin project is to shift the computational power primarily to BOINC projects whilst the POW mining calculations become a second priority; so as the mining network scales up, the network's BOINC contribution is scaled up in tandem.

Obviously this is too much for the AUR pkg. While this could use a refresh, almost no one chooses or installs packages based on these descriptions - they are really there to confirm that the user is installing the correct package that they already wanted. It's not for promotion.

just need a PKGBUILD. it's like an install script that gathers all the necessary packages and libraries for you. :)

you put the PKGBUILD file on your root directory, run makepkg -Sci and you have a fresh copy.
