removing outdated xsd reference (e.g. spring-beans-2.5.xsd) in favor of ... #68

removing outdated xsd reference (e.g. spring-beans-2.5.xsd) in favor of un-versioned xsd reference which delegates to latest version. Current spring dependency is 3.2 so we should favor that version of the xsd. Also removing superfluous scope="singleton" declaration
