Runtime Error! #1

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the program.
2. Load a rxdata file.
3. wait 2-10 seconds.

Reproduces the problem consistently.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get this:

"Runtime Error!
Program: C:\DOCUME~1\myname\eee\eee.rxdataed.exe.2\bin\rubyw.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in a unusual
way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
There's no "about" in the program to check which version it is.
Windows XP pro 2002 - SP3

Please provide any additional information below.
If I don't load an existing file the program works fine. Only when I load
the file I want (need) to edit it crashes after a few seconds.

I forgot to say that I downloaded the program today 06-Aug-2009, so it's
probably the
latest version.
And also, I used the file in the "rxdated-w32.zip / Windows executable"
download.

I also get the same issue, but since nobody has cared about it in the last two
and a half years, I doubt it will ever be fixed.

the program crashes for me with a fault caused by msvcrt-ruby18.dll

i presume the dll is missing. i don't think it's included with rpg maker vx
ace, it's probably something from xp. for those who have rpg maker xp, try
locating the .dll file and pasting this program and its .dll file into the same
folder.

im getting it on windows 8.1 Professional x64 is it possible that the program
needs a certain runtime package?
I literally have all of them installed. 32 and 64 bit...

Having only just gotten the program myself, I'm frustrated to learn that medium
priority means upwards of six years. I'm having the same issue as is reported.
If this has anything to do with RPGMaker, that makes it even more important.
