7 years ago I was able to resolve this after reading through some pretty old issues. The fix was:
The atomicparsley plugin was enabled so I disabled en re-enabled the plugin again: now it works. Also, I checked the log: no error information whatsoever.

I installed a fresh copy of Metaz onto a new computer running macOS Sierra and it won't allow me to add any files at all to the program. Trying to do the simple File -> Open shows all MP4 files as grayed out (M4V as well), right clicking and trying to add to Sierra just shows the spinning circle in perpetuity.
Any suggestions? I know others have it working on Sierra (according to a few of the current open issue) and I have it working on a few other systems without any problems at all, just this one won't kick in so I'm figuring it's probably something simple.
