MetaZ + thetvdb = unusably slow #193

I've got to be doing something wrong that this hasn't been corrected or noted here previously. Three different computers, three different OS (10.9, 10.11 & 10.12) all do the same thing. I compress my DVD / BD library with Handbrake and then bring into MetaZ (1.0a15 (13.11.27.14.8abfa83)) prior to iTunes. As soon as I add a show name and season - enough info to query the db - MetaZ crawls and I get the pinwheel to do anything. Movies work great, TV shows not so much. This all started about two months ago and got better for a few days. What am I doing wrong, or is this being worked on?

Same issue here on 2 different machines, macOS 10.12.6

Now I can't save any files. The log is full of errors. MetaZ.log

Beta 45 seems to have the fix. It is much more responsive to thetvdb requests. Thanks Griff.

Was having this issue on one machine, but not the other - both on Mojave, both on Beta 45.
Checking the logs I saw that there was an issue communicating with iTunes. In the MetaZ preferences I turned off all of the options to update iTunes and it's now back to its normal, snappy self - no performance issues at all.

The old search plugins had some issues with deadlocking among other issues. So both plugins have been rewritten entirely from scratch in Swift and should hopefully work better now.
