AtomicParsley exit code 6 in OS X Mojave (10.14) #200

Open rastriffler opened 5 years ago

rastriffler commented 5 years ago

Running 1.0.beta-45, the program opens, prompts me for file type, and successfully loads potential matches. Once I click "Write", I immediately get a dialog box saying it completed in 1 second.

Looking in the queue I see that "AtomicParsley failed with exit code 6"

rastriffler commented 5 years ago

After multiple failed attempts, including re-downloading and re-installing MetaZ, I tried ripping and editing a DVD, rather than a Blu-ray (which is what I had initially tried). Not only was I able to successfully edit the DVD ripen MetaZ, but afterwards, I was able to edit the original (problematic) Blu-ray rip. Not knowing what exit code 6 is, I'm at a little bit of a loss here, but at the very least the problem is only intermittent.

You can install metaz with homebrew, and it works great.

You will find homebrew here: https://brew.sh/

Then once you install it, just run "brew cask install metaz"

I see this same issue using both 1.0.beta-45 and 1.0.beta-43. Installing with homebrew has no effect (homebrew installs 1.0.beta-43 at the moment). The problem is with the application, not the installation method.

I'm having the same issue.

MetaZ: 1.0.beta-45 Macos: 10.14.2

As far as I can see, it's trying to open xXx (2002) MetaZ.mp4 but it doesn' exist (yet). Could it be a permissions issue?

I have found that when the "Director", Producer", and/or "Screenwriter" fields have too many entries, this error occurs. It took me a long time to figure that out, but once I did, I haven't had this error anymore. Just truncate these fields. Maybe even the"Actors" field as well. Guess there's a character limit on said.
