Checking the CENSO code base on LGTM flagged a recurring pattern of default argument mutation (see https://lgtm.com/projects/g/grimme-lab/CENSO/?mode=list&severity=error). With 44 instances flagged this could become a potentially hard to debug error at some point. It doesn't seem to case any issues yet, but it is probably worth looking out for.
