set dir ! #215

Not sure what's going on here ; )

! isn't going to be passed to the command, it appears, probably not a valid character.

Do we really need to test for that? I think a cryptic message like that is exactly what is deserved when issuing a command like that :-)

Do we really have to deal with this?
