Unable to Bind DualShock 4 Controls in Content Manager #98

Issue Description

Problem

In Content Manager, there seems to be an issue regarding the binding of controls specifically for the DualShock 4 controller. While attempting to configure controls, I encountered several limitations and missing options that hinder the usability and functionality of the controller within the application.

Details

  1. Binding Constraints:

    • Control binding for the DualShock 4 is only possible in the Patch section of the controls settings.
    • This limitation makes it impossible to set essential functions such as gears, among others.
  2. Missing Options for Throttle and Brakes:

    • The options to set throttle and brakes are absent in the control settings.
    • The application doesn't assume the triggers, further complicating the configuration process.

Expected Behavior

Users should be able to bind controls for the DualShock 4 controller seamlessly within Content Manager, including the ability to set gears, throttle, and brakes with intuitive options.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Content Manager.
  2. Navigate to the controls settings.
  3. Attempt to bind controls for the DualShock 4.
  4. Notice the absence of options for throttle, brakes, and other critical functions.

Additional Information

Proposed Solution

  1. Enable control binding for the DualShock 4 in the controls settings.
  2. Include options for setting throttle, brakes, and other essential functions.
  3. Implement support for trigger inputs to streamline the configuration process.

Thank you for addressing this concern promptly to enhance the functionality and accessibility of Content Manager for all users, especially those using the DualShock 4 controller.
