For personal dev day, planning to connect w/ Brittany + Sulaymon. Should we have a label for this? @julauxen @SeamusLeonardHPE
@britt6612 brings up a good point about dev mode and code connect. Are these hidden behind paywalls? Can developers even access this? Would be good to loop Chris into all of this to see which accounts we have and what we do/don't have access too
While I was exploring the dev mode options I did not have access to this. I could request access and then Figma gave me a trial until my access was denied/granted. On personal dev day 7/26 I was not able to get it all the way connected with our DS code base. I have the dependencies installed as well as the config and js file but that's as far as I got.
As of Monday July 29 my access was denied for the dev mode in Figma so now I no longer can experiment with this. I think it would be good to have a better understanding of if we as a team are going to be able to have access to this if budget allows as well as are other devs on other teams. I do think the feature is really cool and can help the process between designer and dev however if we are limited on access for this is it worth us evaluating at this time?
@britt6612 thanks for pursuing this. Would be ideal to get a record of everyones on the teams access level in figma, and request dev membership to test the value that code connect may offer.
@KennyAtHPE , I think we should put this back in the backlog until we can get to it. Lets discuss with @SeamusLeonardHPE.
Working File Overview of new features announced at Config Keynote
Vicky and I are swarming together to research the new Figma features further. We will determine which features are essential for us to implement first, explore more, and/or create educational guides. Currently, the HPE enterprise plan is not opted into the beta to test the new AI features. Chris is currently in talks with our Figma rep and will know more on 7/15 as to whether or not we qualify for that.
