Figma - Should we enable "Simplify all instances" within our components

"Simplifying an instance helps reduce clutter in the layers and properties panel by hiding layers without component properties applied. Figma assumes that a layer with no component property is a layer that should not be edited, and therefore can be hidden."

Figma has an issue accidentally hiding the incorrect properties and layers when toggling on this option. Furthermore, sometimes we have layers that don't have component properties applied but want users to be able to quickly edit them. Toggling on this property could slow down that process and layers could be hidden altogether for folks unaware of this feature.

• Should we consider turning off this feature completely?
• When should this feature be used? What are ALL the pros and cons of toggling on vs off?
• What components currently have this option applied?
