"I'm not a bot" button on join #418

Open yangm97 opened 5 years ago

yangm97 commented 5 years ago

An option to mute users once they join, requiring them to press a "I'm not a bot" button in order to gain default_permissions.

yangm97 commented 5 years ago

Possibly kick them after x minutes of not clicking on the button.

A good idea. I saw that it already existed in Telegram

Bad idea. Userbots can click buttons. A good spambot would click every button in a welcome message

Passphrase authentication seems a bit old school, although not really sure what alternatives are available when a button gets ruled out, unless you have "trap" buttons.

Captcha? I know python has a captcha module

marcosfreitas commented 3 years ago

This feature doesn't exist yet? The Join Captcha bot has implemented it, but butler have more features.

It would be a nice to have.

Been getting accounts that are deleted in seconds that quickjoin groups to post the same elon musk twitter post about bitcoin.

Having some form of authentication before they're able to do anything in the group would be very helpful with an autokick if they don't pass authentication within a timeframe
