Weird I am unable to reproduce. When in a normal editing mode , I am able to do all actions.
thanks for your reply. What do you mean by 'in a normal editing mode'?
Click on empty space (to the right of the last bread crumb) and then do anything with the url. What do you mean by "I want to type hello in address bar" ? How are you typing ?
Ok, I explain. I have the extension InstantFox installed. I don't know if you know this extension. I use it to have a shortcut to access to a site. Example: in the address bar, when I type 'fv'+space+Enter key, I get access to the http://fr.forvo.com/search website. Of course if I use this extension with this shortcut, it is to be able to search a specific word. Example: I'm reading on a website, and I see a word I don't know. Ok, I highlight it, then I use CTRL+C to copy the word. Then I open a new tab, and I go in the address bar, then I type 'fv' and a space, then I use CTRL+V to paste my word I want to search, after 'fv '. What I'd like to be displayed is 'fv the_word_I'm_searching_for'. But when I use CTRL+V it suppress 'fv '. Hence, InstantFox extension doesn't work.
If you are on a new tab and address bar is focused, my extension should not do anything. Can you paste a screenshot here ?

Here is the picture I realized to explain.
Weird. I follow the same steps, I does not change back to breadcrumbs for me.
And do you have InstantFox extension installed? Maybe something in your LocationBarExtension settings has been changed?
In any case, thanks a lot for helping me :)
I will try with instantfox enabled. Can you post all your settings (go to about:config and search for extensions.uienhancer)
Ok, here is the list:
Imagine: I want to type 'hello' in the adress bar. Then I want to add what I've just copied before on a web site (which is 'my name is yoann'). So in the adress bar, I type 'hello' and a space, then I use CTRL+V to make it follow by 'my name is yoann'. The problem here is it doesn't display what I want: 'hello my name is yoann', but displays only 'my name is yoann'. Because using CTRL seems to replace all what you've typed before... A big issue. Because I don't ant to use after 'hello' the right-click and then choose paste...
