Nature of Defect: XCL allows a element to contain multiple

elements. This conflicts with the CommentedTerm construct in the abstract syntax which allows for a single character string to be associated with the Term being commented. One can argue that the abstract syntax allows CommentedTerms to be nested, however there is no indication of how multiple elements would map to implicit nested Commented Terms. Proposed Solution: NEED SPECIFIC TEXT CHANGES HERE

I suggest that the Abstract Syntax be revised to optionally allow multiple comments to be attached to a single attachment point (text, sentence, term, etc). This is relevant to issue #26

The DTD in Annex C will be replaced by a Relax NG schema describing a completely revised XCL syntax, which will include sequence markers.

Therefore this issue is moot.

I recommend that this issue be closed.
