Guessing that Mac OS X was the other operating system since R doesn't really run on IOS?

Also I've tested it on OS X just now and yes, it works.

Thanks for testing @adamhsparks! I don’t think the failed check is your fault; something must have changed since the last Travis build. I will merge this for the record, but note that README.md is derived from README.Rmd, which references vignettes/index.Rmd to avoid redundant documentation. In the future, please apply changes to vignettes/index.Rmd. Thanks again!

Whoops! Yes, sorry about that. I did read and understand that about the package (using the Rmd) but didn't apply that knowledge in practice.
